FAQs

  • i am aware that my prices are higher than the average gpose photographer. i don’t feel great about this, but here are my reasons:

    • I make my own gshade presets. most of the time, i will tweak one of my existing presets or create a preset that is more or less customized to your photoshoot and you will get to keep and use it.

    • I will almost always exceed the minimum number of photos per set. This, coupled with the fact that I post-edit every shot means that each portrait session is a very time-consuming one.

    • I have a limited amount of time and resilience when it comes to photoshoots. thus, i prefer to really focus and spoil a single client rather than take in more clients and offer less for a lower price.

    • I am a pretty experienced photographer. I definitely don’t think i’m the best by any measure (there are plenty of other photographers who are better), but i have grown a lot from when i first began, and my prices have been revised to reflect this.

    i do offer mini photoshoots that are more affordable. These are also often available as raffle / giveaway prizes, so if you’d like a chance to get one for free, i’d recommend joining my discord server (bit.ly/afterglowstudios) and following me on twitter (@afterglow__)!

    if you really want a shoot by me but can’t afford my listed prices, send me a dm and we’ll see if we can work things out.

  • i will require a 50% deposit before I begin the photoshoot. this is usually after we’ve discussed and confirmed the details.

    the final payment is due at the end of the shoot. i will upload all pictures to your personal gallery where you can view and approve of them. (You will not be able to download the full resolution pictures at this point).

  • no. i will need your character dat / chara / cma file. if you play on console and / or you have no idea what that is, i will need to meet you in game once before commencing the shoot. after that, i will be reflecting your character onto my own using my posing tool (anamnesis).

    also, i spent a lot of time on each photoshoot, and i prefer to do it at my own pace, so it’s best for both of us that i work privately. all updates will be done via discord.

  • yes, i do. the degree of nsfw varies. my default / natural style tends to be more of a soft / sensual nsfw vibe (think boudoir shoots) , but that isn’t to say that i’d be adverse to doing a more explicit scene. there are, however, limits to what i’m comfortable shooting, so it’s best that you contact me and discuss things beforehand.

    i will never do anything that is not absolutely, indisputably 100% sfw portraits for lalafells and / or any character that physically / mentally / emotionally presents as underaged (below 20 years old).

  • my schedule is a little erratic, and i am a perfectionist who isn’t above redoing a completed shoot just because i noticed that i gave you the wrong manicure. thus, please assume that i will take around 2 weeks (or sometimes even more) to complete your shoot.

    having said that, there have been times when i completed a shoot within 1 to 2 days, but that’s definitely not a guarantee.

    please do not rush me.

  • this depends on various factors, so i would say that whether or not i redo a completed shoot is on a case by case basis.

    i believe that prevention is better than cure, so i will always give all clients a google form to fill up. if you have a certain aesthetic / theme in mind, this is the time to let me know your thoughts. Or if you know what you do not want, please let me know as well!

    i will most likely do a couple of test shots before i begin the actual photoshoot, so i’d love it if feedback / request for changes can be done at this point.

    in general, if it’s indisputably my fault that you’re unhappy, i will most likely redo the shoot (for eg, you stated a preference clearly and i accidentally overlooked that).

    IN GENERAL, IF IT’S INDISPUTABLY MY FAULT THAT YOU’RE UNHAPPY, I WILL MOST LIKELY REDO THE SHOOT (FOR EG, YOU STATED A PREFERENCE CLEARLY AND I ACCIDENTALLY OVERLOOKED THAT).

    however, unless the mistake was very grave, or i agree that the quality of my work is severely subpar to what i am capable of, it is very unlikely that i will offer a full refund for a completed shoot. i spend a lot of time and effort on every shoot, so i do believe it is fair that i receive at least some form of compensation.

    if i take longer than the expected turnaround time, i will always contact you before i begin the actual shoot to check if you’re still interested, so generally, a long wait would not really be grounds for a full refund if you confirm that you’d still like to proceed.

  • Yes, but this is on a case-by-case basis.

    i could be interested in trades for the following services:

    feel free to offer other things that are not listed. for the right trade, i would be willing to add additional services / payment if the value of what you’re offering is higher.

    One thing to note is that i can be picky with what i want; please do not be hurt / offended if you offer and i say no.

  • send me a dm to indicate your interest. after i have a rough idea of what you’re looking for, i’ll send you a link to a google form so you can fill up the details in full.

  • i’d encourage you to be as detailed as you can in filling up the form, especially if you have a specific idea of how you’d like your shoot to be.

    i’d also recommend checking out my portfolio and my site in general to get a good grasp of my style and aesthetic.

    if you like what i did for a specific client, feel free to make reference to that.

  • i will need your character dat / chara / cma file before commencing the shoot.

    if you’re a console gamer or you don’t know what that is, i’ll arrange a mutually convenient time for us to meet in game so i can take a snapshot of your character.

  • before i start the actual shoot, i will most likely send you test shots of the preset i’ll be using and the full look that your character will have (hair | outfit | accessories). if you’d like any changes, this would be the best time to let me know!

    the actual shoot will be done in my own time, you will not need to be present online.

  • Once the shoot is done, I will send you a link to your private gallery to view all the shots.

    upon approval, we’ll arrange a mutually convenient time to meet in game so you can make payment. this can be done via trade / mogmail.

    once payment is received in full, i will zip up all raw and edited files, as well as the preset that i used (unless you don’t want / need it) and send them to you.
